Warning for long term recharge users of D2H

I am D2H customer from last 2 years. But at last I decided to share my bad experience about their service with all of you. Last year I had done five year long term recharge for platinum pack in December 2013 online when pack price was RS 395. As result of this I paid them RS 23700 for 60 months. They credited my account to provide the benefit of 12 months and additional 3% due to online recharge. As a result of this my due date for recharge was 9 march 2020. Now their is price protection for this entire period. I was not expecting any problem from their side for this entire period. But proved wrong for me. First I experienced problem from them when the price was hiked to 410 rupees . Suddenly my account started showing due date 26 December 2019.I complained to them about it. They then added more credit to my account to provide price protection. Now again this has happened with me after the price of this pack has increased to 425.Even after four days of complaint and several discussions with their customer cares nothing has been done by them. I have even asked them that it is fault of your side that account balance is disturbed from account whenever their is price increase ,from account of all the customers who have done long term recharges to avail price protection. If they do not check their accounts then their due date always go on decrease whenever their is price increase of the pack. So I advise all the D2h users to keep close eyes on their accounts specially who have gone for long term recharges to avoid losses whenever their is price increase from their side, otherwise instead of price protection their accounts will be debited according to new prices. I have even asked them that I they are no able to solve this problem then they should return my money back after deducting charges for use period and take their set top box back.

After Service and swap charges, this long term recharge users are now victims..

I think only 1 percent would be noticing all these things and remaining would be getting deprived from the price protection.

It has happened with me too .... D2h lacs accountability and coordination .... There is no price protection for long term users...
We can't keep track of the balance everyday in our busy schedules and the stb will not refresh the balance info ....
Only thing good about them is they are value for money with a lot of negatives ..... Their customer service has nose dived off late ....

Thanks for sharing this. Even I am using D2H. I also did long term recharge but only for 6 months. It is going to end in another 2 months. Till now I didn't face any such issues. But I will keep close eyes on my balance hereafter. They should provide price protection as they agreed. They should provide a transaction history like Airtel DTH is providing in the self care portal. Then only we can track this kind of issues.

If you escalate the issue, you will get a call back from their team who claim to be from HO (Mumbai) and we will have to repeats the whole history which again goes to deaf hears .... I got a credit into my a/c partially after 4 months of followup with nodal officer.
I in fact have warned them of legal action if this is repeated ... I am now seriously consulting my advocate on how to take legal
steps ..… my case is special with all the email I have send for help from early 2013 .... The worst part I discovered recently that my connection was activated in early 2013 .... However their records say Dec 2013 ....
