Yes ...d2h is no. 1 in false money deduction...they will never give you price protection unless u complaint them again and again..
When i was in 1 yr LTR platinum HD pack i also faced this issue when SS2 was added and package price was increased ...but i complained them again and again ...first they were not ready to give it back but when i talked with upper level supervisors ...they finally credited it back...

My advice to all d2h users is never go for 5 yr. LTR period ...they will screw you for entire 5 yrs and you won't be able to leave d2h too.
Now d2h is not an economical service so never go for LTR longer then 2 yrs...who knows whats their cruel future plans?

They haven't mentioned about price protection for LTR on their website unlike TS...

Anyway i haven't faced any prob. when i was on LTR...
But best thing is stay away from LTR at least in d2h..

You may not be monitoring things because you urself told that you are doing lumsum amout if recharge.

Because I too have faced same thing in d2h.

I check my a/c on weekly basis..But haven't found any fishy things..
But lots of members are complaining means they have a valid point as they came across such things...
 
My account is credited back to 05/03/2020.My account was credited two times showing date 14/05/2014.Their supervisor called me back that they have double credited my account due to my complaint and they are now taking back some credit back to level the account. He further told me that after revision of pack prices they add more credit to all the accounts of LTR customers to provide them price protection. Since there are hundred of accounts and they do this work serial wise in all the accounts so this work takes some time .I advised him that D2H should improve their billing system because this practice is making bad impression about company in their customers and also adding unnecessary work for d2h employees also .They should improve their billing system because above practice is very unprofessional in nature .Once any customer has opted for LTR , his account should not be disturbed until his due date due to any price increase during his LTR period. Once LTR period is over he should go for recharge according to new prices. This will not only remove undue tension from customers but D2H employees should also got free from this undue practice of adding credit in hundred of accounts.

Good to know that you got your balance back.

And yes they should improve their billing to avoid such mess. If they do it manually they there are chances they might skip some too.

This is one of the reason I want to keep atleast one cable connection.
Till now I haven't face any service related problems from cable guys. You can bargain with them to get good deal - all imp channels, local channels, free service visits within 15-20 mins after calling, replacement STB if your STB has some problem.....
Only thing I don't like is the STB software which is not good enough.
