What is the package that you chose along with BB?
do you mean IPTV ? I completely forgot - it is independent of your broadband. your TV usage is not counted in your broadband.

very sad that they screwed something so good. No rain interference... it was spectacular. :(

IPTV is not that demanded In india. You can say since its a different technology that people aren't aware of, and since operators of IPTV like airtel have no mood to continue, u can very well shift to a better service that provides you with latest content and channels also HD.

Yes in DTH Tata Sky, D2H and ADTV are top, I have not witnessed as I am not a DTH subscriber, you can say in Digital Cable Hathway, DEN and In Digital are the best.

The only option you have is to take digital cable, as I said both hathway and DEN ate good. pls see which is better in your area. And take a HD connection as that's ur need.

Hope you take a decision soon :)

thanks for replying.. right now I have Airtel IPTV. I love it .. but Airtel is trying really hard to discourage people from continuing. if it was putting even 10% of the effort into IPTV, then there is no way I would shift.

I'm tempted by tata sky or D2H, but access to roof is a big problem.... and I'm very sure I would have rain problems. I would rather sacrifice a few channels and go for wired cable.
Good to know that you are an IPTV user.

Regarding dth, rain outage is a temporary thing. It happens only when it rains heavily which can be reduced further by installing slight bigger Dish.

Also if you don't have roof access, you may install Dish on your Windows grill too.

But IM bro, he says that his apartment society dosnt allow dish to be installed anywhere. As it spoils the image ......
And balcony may affect the Line of Sight ......

But then there must be a MDU in the building. Which company MDU is that.

And if this is the problem then he won't be able to pull cable connection of his desired choice too. He will be given fixed option which would be already available in the society.

Yup, he said hathway/Den are available in his building/locality. There will be atleast one person who must be a cable user in that bldg.

so I enquired about bigger dish with all the DTH operators. I offered that I will pay more, but all of them refused saying that we will only install if there are atleast 25 subscribers (Tata Sky said 100!). so I gave up on that option.
Plus, my thought is if I'm getting event 75% of the content of DTH, then I dont mind digital cable and avoid a dish antenna making my building ugly :)

IndianMascot can you explain this ? I'm not an expert.

Basically, I called up both DEN and Hathway with my address and both said that they do service my area. My "building" is like a 4 story duplex in a colony and everyone else in my duplex has either tata sky (it is one family with three floors and roof access... and they are not good at allowing others ).
