WWE RAW RESULTS - 1/4/16
Stephanie McMahon’s music hits, and she makes her way to the ring smiling. As she comes to the ring, Roman Reigns’ music hits to interrupt her. Reigns doesn’t get a great pop, but once he’s in the ring, the people chant his name. Reigns says it seems like she’s not needed tonight. It’s not about her – it’s about her father. Reigns calls out Vince McMahon.
Stephanie says Reigns is going to have to get used to disappointment tonight because her father is not here yet. He’ll be here in time to guest referee his championship match against Sheamus. Reigns has to face the truth because the odds aren’t in his favor. Reigns says if he loses the title, he doesn’t have a job and can’t provide for his family. Reigns says this is his life and family and no one will take that away from him. Stephanie says he almost had her believing he’ll beat Sheamus tonight. Stephanie asks the crowd if they think he’ll beat Sheamus, and the crowd chants, “YES!” Stephanie says it’s pathetic that the crowd hangs on to hope so desperately, but it’s not a strategy. Nobody competes with Vince McMahon and wins. Last week, Reigns had a moment when McMahon was arrested and laughed, but we’ll see who laughs last. All charges have been dropped. Stephanie says she’s the boss and Reigns is the help. She won’t fire him, though. After he loses the WWE Championship tonight, she’s going to simply use him. She’ll make him fight every single night until his body breaks down and he simply can’t go anymore. After that, the people who he thinks care so much will forget about him and cheer the next arrogant superstar that thinks he can stand in her ring. She’ll do to Reigns exactly what her father did to Sika.
Reigns says she shouldn’t worry about his father. She should worry about hers. If her father screws him tonight, she won’t be picking him up from jail. She’ll be picking him up from the hospital. Reigns drops the microphone and leaves the ring.
Kevin Owens vs. Neville

Owens goes to put him on the table, but Ambrose sends him into the steps. Ambrose then lays him out on the table and stands on top of the barricade. Ambrose then hits a running elbow drop through the table! Ambrose holds Owens’ head and says he knows where to find him if he wants a shot. Ambrose then celebrates with his Intercontinental Championship.

Winners by Pinfall: Rusev and Alberto Del Rio
Dolph Ziggler vs. Heath Slater w/ Curtis Axel, Adam Rose, and Bo Dallas
Winner by Pinfall: Heath Slater
The New Day makes their way to the ring. Big E says 2016 will be the most magical year of their lives. It all starts tonight when they break Kalisto and those dirty, disgusting Dudley Boyz faster than Mike Tyson broke his booty on that hoverboard. For those without Internet, they’ll recreate it. They then impersonate Tyson falling off his hoverboard. They then laugh and impersonate him falling. Kofi Kingston mentions that he’s a WWE Hall of Famer… but he did fall pretty hard. They say they have a New Years gift and start a countdown, but it turns into Chris Jericho’s countdown.
Chris Jericho comes out to the stage, and the crowd chants, “Y2J.” Jericho says, “Welcome to RAW is Jericho!” Jericho says he is the party host and one of the most charismatic showmen in WWE history. Jericho says, “All hail the ayatollah of rock and roll-a!” Jericho says he has returned to save the WWE. Xavier Woods asks if he watched WWE at all in 2015. They already saved WWE with the power of positivity. Jericho says the only thing he’s positive of is he’s looking at three unicorn horn wearing jackasses. Jericho says they look really stupid. One minute of Y2J is already more entertaining than the rest of RAW. Network subscriptions, television ratings, and live event attendance all need a shot in the arm and a boost. They need Y2J. Jericho says he missed all the Jerichoholics. Jericho apologizes for having the crowd sit through the New Day and their “rooty, tooty booty gyrations.” Jericho then starts a “rooty, tooty booty” chant. Jericho announces he will be in the Royal Rumble on January 24. During that match, he will throw out 29 other superstars, including the three of them. He’ll win that match and go on to the main event of WrestleMania for the second time. He’s a six time World Champion including being the very first Undisputed Champion. He’s also the best in the world at what he does. Everyone working in the company and watching him right now will never, ever be the same… again.
The New Day vs. Kalisto and The Dudley Boyz

Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns (c)
Special Referee – Vince McMahon
Sheamus snaps Reigns off the ropes and knees him in the face. Reigns gets out of White Noise and rolls him up before picking him up for another slam. McMahon counts, but stops at two before pretending he got something in his eye. Reigns gets up and stares at him. Sheamus rolls him up for a fast two count. Sheamus fights back and hits the ropes, but Reigns hits a Superman Punch. McMahon goes to count the pin, but he just stops. Reigns angrily stares at McMahon before setting up for a Spear. Reigns then shifts and connects with a Superman Punch on McMahon. Reigns then connects with a Spear on Sheamus and covers, but there is no referee. Reigns shouts for a referee to come down. Reigns hits Sheamus with a Drive By Dropkick and sends him over the fixed commentary table. Reigns then stares at McMahon, who has just come to. Reigns gets in the ring and grabs McMahon. Reigns starts manhandling McMahon.
Stephanie McMahon’s music hits, and she storms down to the ring. She stands on the bottom rope for height and starts shouting at Reigns. Reigns sends McMahon into the ropes to knocks Stephanie into the ring. Reigns sets up to Spear McMahon, but Sheamus gives him two Brogue Kicks. For some reason, McMahon isn’t counting the pin. Instead, Scott Armstrong runs down for a fast count, but Reigns kicks out. Armstrong tries to stand Reigns up for Sheamus to Brogue Kick, but Reigns Superman Punches Sheamus and Armstrong. Reigns spears Sheamus, and John Cone runs down to count the pinfall.
Winner and still WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Roman Reigns
McMahon grabs John Cone at ringside and knocks him out with one right hand. McMahon grabs a microphone and adjusts his jaw. As the Chairman and CEO of this company, it’s his duty to inform Reigns that the next time he defends that championship will be at the Royal Rumble PPV. It’s one versus all, so he’ll be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Royal Rumble match! The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in the Royal Rumble for the first time since 1992!
