The Undertaker explains why he attacked Brock Lesnar at WWE Battleground

The bell tolls and the lights in the arena go out. The Undertaker’s music, and the conscience of the WWE steps onto a RAW stage for the first time since March 2014 when his WrestleMania streak was still intact. The crowd gives him a thunderous applause as he makes his entrance. The Undertaker climbs the steps and raises his hands to turn the lights back on. Undertaker stands in the ring as the arena is still bathed in purple light. Undertaker stands there as the crowd chants his name and gives him an incredible round of applause. The crowd respects the legend of The Undertaker. Undertaker growls into the microphone and says, “I stand here tonight a relentless, remorseless, cold-blooded, vengeful grim reaper. Streaks are made to be broken. That is the painful truth, but Lesnar, you had to continuously, week after week, month after month, remind everyone of your greatest accomplishment, and now, I say enough.” The crowd gives that a round of applause. Undertaker says Lesnar has taken what was once smoldering ashes and turned it into a raging inferno. Undertaker says last night was his true resurrection. Undertaker continues by saying, “You see Lesnar, you can’t kill what won’t die.” Undertaker says unleashed forces will send their careers toward new destinies, and he will challenge Lesnar’s mortality. Undertaker says he will conquer what has yet to be conquered. In the end, just like all living things, be it man or beast, Lesnar will rest in peace! Undertaker rolls his eyes into the back of his head as his music plays. Undertaker then walks to the back.

Paul Heyman delivers Brock Lesnar’s retort for SummerSlam

Paul Heyman is in the ring, and he gets a nice round of applause. Heyman says, “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate for The Beast who should be the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the World, Brock Lesnar, so why, why isn’t Brock Lesnar the WWE Heavyweight Champion of the World?” It’s not because Seth Rollins outwrestled or outfought Brock Lesnar. It wasn’t because Rollins survived his trip to Suplex City or that he pinned him. His client is not the WWE Heavyweight Champion of the World because of the demonic resurrection of The Undertaker. For those who subscribe to the WWE Network, they witnessed history last night. For the first time since April 6, 2014, Lesnar went face-to-face with The Undertaker. The reason that date is so significant because his client conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. The crowd loudly boos that. Heyman says that bothers people, but it doesn’t bother them half as much as it pisses off The Undertaker.

The bell tolls and the lights go out! When they come back on, The Undertaker is standing behind Paul Heyman. Heyman turn around and screams in fair. Heyman screams that he’s just an advocate. Brock Lesnar’s music hits, and the commentators run away. Lesnar runs down to the ring as the crowd thunderously cheers him on. They trade punches before Lesnar tackles him down. Triple H runs out and waves security down. They try to break them up, but they fight them off and continue to brawl. A whole bunch of WWE Superstars run down now and try to separate them. They eventually pull them apart. The crowd is absolutely buzzing for this. Lesnar slides out of the ring and runs over to Undertaker. They continue to brawl until the superstars pull Lesnar off the apron. The crowd chants, “Let them fight!” Lesnar breaks free again and starts punching him, but he’s pulled off. The Undertaker chases him, but he’s pulled back. The crowd chants that this is awesome. Lesnar screams that he will kill The Undertaker.

WWE Superstars surround Brock Lesnar and are trying to calm him down. The Undertaker all of a sudden charges into the frame and punches away at Lesnar. Lesnar breaks free, knocks over a table, and dives onto Undertaker. The continue to brawl and both fall to the floor. Brock Lesnar is pulled off and he orders everyone not to touch him. Lesnar removes his shirt as Undertaker screams to him in the background. Lesnar then allows the security guards to put plastic ties on his hands and walk him off.

Luke Harper w/ Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns w/ Dean Ambrose

Winner by Disqualification: Roman Reigns

Dean Ambrose attacks Wyatt, and the crowd erupts. Harper tries to help Wyatt, but Ambrose fights him off and sends him into the barricade. Wyatt and Harper begin to double-team Ambrose and send him into the timekeeper’s area. Wyatt head-butts away at Reigns before Harper chokes him with his boot. Wyatt throws Reigns into the ring. Harper applies a modified crossface as Wyatt kicks away at Reigns. Ambrose runs in to break it up. Ambrose takes Wyatt down and punches away at him. Harper pulls him off and punches, but Ambrose rebounds with a clothesline. Wyatt grabs Ambrose for Sister Abigail, but Reigns floors him with a Superman Punch. Wyatt and Harper retreat through the crowd as Reigns’ music plays. Reigns and Ambrose stand tall in the ring as the crowd gives them a great hand. Ambrose’s music then plays, and we see replays of what just happened.

Seth Rollins addresses the WWE Universe about his title defense

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring as the crowd boos him. Rollins says it’s good to see them. Rollins asks how it feels to be wrong about him again. The crowd loudly boos him. Rollins tells them to not act like they underestimated him last night because they bought into Paul Heyman’s crap like the rest of the WWE Universe. Rollins sees them out there with their “Suplex City” shirts. Rollins remembers how they cheered when Brock Lesnar took an ax to his $55,000 car. The crowd was so happy when Lesnar took out J&J Security and shatter that “big piece of crap” Kane’s ankles with the steel steps. They figured Rollins would be lucky to get out of the match alive let alone with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but they were wrong again. Rollins is alive and well and still is the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Rollins then asks Lilian Garcia to enter the ring, and she does. Rollins asks her to make the announcement that should have been made last night at Battleground. Lilian Garcia begins to announce that Brock Lesnar won by disqualification, and Rollins makes sure to include that it was due to outside interference from The Undertaker. Garcia then announces that Rollins is still the champion.

John Cena’s music hits, and he comes out to thunderous boos. Cena says Lilian no longer has to put up with Rollins’ crap before saying it to the crowd. Rollins says he doesn’t know why Cena is out there. Nothing he does is of any concern to Cena. Rollins congratulates him on his win over Kevin Owens last night. Cena has done a nice job with his US Open Challenges. Rollins leaves the ring to him for an open challenge and goes to leave, but Cena says he’s not out there for that. Cena says he’s out here to thank him. They became champions on the same night. In four months, the WWE Universe knows that every time they see the United States Championship, they see excellence from challenger and champion. If it weren’t for Rollins, it might not have happened. Cena thanks him for being a conniving, slimy, weasel-faced, sellout, suck-up poor excuse for a champion. Cena says actions speak louder than words. Rollins’ actions everyday make people lose faith in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and gain respect for the United States Championship.

Rollins goes to leave. Cena tells him to continue running away from every challenge. Cena says he’s right here. The Champ is right here. Judging by the people here, it’s not the title that makes the man. The man makes the title. If Rollins doesn’t want to be a boy, then that’s fine. As a man, he’ll tell him to his face that he thinks he’s a joke. Cena asks if he’s ready to man up. Rollins takes his shirt off, as does Cena. Rollins fakes like he’s going to fight him before waving him off and leaving the ring to loud jeers from the crowd. Cena sarcastically says, “Ladies and gentlemen, WWE Champion Seth Rollins.” Cena then says, “The Champ is here,” and holds up the WWE United States Championship.
