Its called a Danger Zone for a reason, because it is dangerous to be unconcerned about your surroundings. If you plan to take a selfie over a cliff is only stupidity or recklessness if you aware of the consequences. If someone in the process of taking a selfie, stumbles and faces the consequences who would you blame? The cliff for being there, phone maker for making a phone that can take pictures, or the government who despite knowing that people slip and fall have given access to unprofessionals.
Your second point is also similar, a common man may or may not know how to swim. Given the situation like Ganesh visarjan crowd control becomes a challenge and in such situations lifeguards or any sort of help won't be able to reach the ones who need. Also when it comes to sea or any other uncharted territories, a common man may not gauge the risk, a professional may. They risk their lives for ours, which should be commended and not to be criticized about not letting do your personal thing.
And despite, there isn't a ban on taking selfies, generally. Or a common man is banned from immersing the idol in safe premise like a small lake or tank, or a bucket?

Similar logic to applies to this Pokemon game bro. Game is making people crazy going anywhere to catch the Pokemon. So, this game itself is landing people in danger zone.

yes it is in Mumbai. Selfies are banned near cliff or sea and immersion by individual is not allowed. It has to be done by BMC appointed experts only in certain places.

If it isn't considered safe, it should not be allowed for public. If it needs cautionary measures, it needs to be taken care of. Besides, you can avoid people from playing the game from certain regions, so they don't go end up there. think of like Google Maps. Some routes are not available (pvt roads etc)

You're missing my point. It is banned there because you can physically stop them all the time, if you are caught you have to pay penalty, correct?
What I'm saying is they have so called banned people from taking selfies from these areas or immersing idols in the ocean only.
But have they banned you from taking a selfie at all. Like at a mall or some park, which is considered safe and public.
Immersing in a bucket of water on your own is still allowed, not banned. So you understand, banning the app or game isn't the solution?

If you're saying that it should restricted/blocked in the regions deemed unsafe or dangerous rather than implementing a nationwide ban, then I think that is a fair point.

Very Important point, and it has been taken care of. You can report such places and based on the votes and other information they take actions. But people have to remember, it is the pople who decide to walk or you know visit such places without respecting any laws or regulations. You cannot blame the game entirely. Just my point.
