Well d2h will keep one dummy channel like 3D but TS might removed and add it when required. I wants to see Mr.Nagpal's statement after the event

Every Board including ICC shares the additional cost of technique used in the Tournament. Technology like DRS and now UHD. Today every Sports Broadcaster own the basic technology of Speedometer, Hawk eye and HD Camera. Its depends on how a particular board wants the match to be telecast. BCCI always quarrel to have DRS system because then they needs start investing on the techniques like Hot Spot, Sneechometer, Ball tracker and all that. Since STAR SPORTS don't own this things as they hardly produces any Cricket matches they appoint all this in a lease. If ICC wants the production in UHD then ICC also have to pay if its only STAR SPORTS then only they will shel out the amount. Currently DRS is applied in ICC events then ICC will jointly paid with STAR SPORTS for the additional technology if they want something extra.

And I am talking about budget for India. And there isn't many 4K operators across the globe. They are few. Infact if Tata sky and d2h will launch 4K channels on their platform, they would be leaders in the world.

Its about history and moving with technology, last World Cup was first ever WC to be broadcasted in HD many thought the same but now its become need for a time. Just like India, England, Australia, SA too might broadcast in UHD and if ICC wants to extend the Broadcasting in non cricket popular country. Its about reach and show the World the Cricket World is not small event just like Football.

I still doubt ICC pays anything to Broadcasters for any match. Can I have some official literature on it pls.

There is no logic which I can apply with ICC or any board paying to Broadcaster.

What I understand is an event is organized by ICC, they sell all broadcasting rights to someone. Now its the Broadcaster whose headache to pay the required amount to board as well as earn the profit from operators and sponsors.

Yeah so better leave that point it would be great if STAR SPORTS exclusively produce matches in UHD only for d2h and TS and if d2h decides to step back then do whatever they wants to do with TS and if d2h take the feed then do whatever they wants to do with both

All the revenue generated by sale of broadcast rights goes to ICC. Then ICC will have their own formula and divide portion of revenues to each boards participating.

If ICC doesn't want the matches to be telecasted to be in UHD, there is no chance it will be shot in UHD. ICC has the authority to decide how the matches to be covered

And because ICC handles the production and they includes DRS option hence even BCCI agrees with it because their production is not involves in the event.
