Good Old Cable TV is the Best. DTH is becoming unaffordable day by day, already to watch all channels excluding specials, in Tata Sky one has to pay almost Rs. 1000 for 2 Tv's, in Dish TV too there are many channels excluded in even the highest pack and one has to pay around Rs. 1400 to view all channels excluding specials on 2 TV's, in Videocon d2h too one has to pay around Rs. 800 for 2 TV's to view all channels except specials, in airtel one has to pay around Rs. 850 for 2TV's to view all channels except specials.
I am talking about ROI Channels in the abive para, for south it even costs more in some cases.
I am myself planning to just keep 2 airtel STB's active along with 1 Hathway digital cable STB. Videocon d2h STB's are slow plus all their standard definition channels have irritating Bluish Color Tone thus giving poor picture, had raised issue with them but they do not listen. Airtel is much more responsive, got many issues corrected by talking to uplinking team in airtel. Tata Sky is hopeless, i have no hopes from them. Dish TV is still very costly
The way DTH costs are rising, a normal person cannot afford viewing TV now. GovernemEnt should immediaTely abolish Entertainment Tax on TV Viewing. Each state is levying very high entertainment tax plus these DTH ops are also digging a hole in the customer's pocket.

I must say digitalization is not at all useful to customers it is useful to Govt. only.The same price there in DTH or any digital cable so what is use for digitalization??
the major problem is illegal cable which can only happen using Analog cable. Thats why digitisation is approved. But loyal subscribers are hit during process.

Digitization is pushed by broadcaster. They are the one who are going to be benefitted majorly.
Presently there money is being cheated by providing less count by MSOs. Once digitization will be at place, even cable services will become costly.

digital cable would be costly than analog.
In DTH business and in digital cable broadcasters dont earn much neither do DTH . Its just profitable business for them.
Only govt earn like allot for each subscribers. Because now they know how much are subscribing digital cable or DTH but not in case of analog cable because u can simply split a simple line to as much as u want.
