I was waiting for Gemini Music HD channel since it was launched but sadly it do not available except Sun Direct DTH.
So I bought Sun Direct STB and attached with old Dish(Tata sky).
I got new HEVC box.But sadly I did not get what i want.
I thought Gemini Music HD was a true HD channel and giving true DD sound.
But most of the content is HD but it is giving fake DD sound.
Here is my review:
I have experienced all the DTHs except reliance and Sun Direct.
First time I am experiencing Sun Direct DTH and I really got shocked.
Might be most of the Sun direct users won't like my review but It is my self review and I have experienced it and writing here.
I am starting with Minus because these are more comparing to pluses.
Minuses:
1.I must say it is the pathetic product I have ever experienced.
2.worst PQ,There is no Vivid,live colors and coming pixels when ever pictures are moving.
My rating about Picture Quality 5/10
3.most worst and dumb if we take AQ. There is no treble,no bass of course very little surround sound.HD channels giving very low sound and for SD channels my HT remote is not working.I need to control the volume with sun direct remote.
when we put DD option on sound then it is happening.If we put PCM option then my HT remote is working but coming PCM sound in all SD and HD channels.
My Rating is 2/10.(pathetic DD sound among all DTH).
4.Extremely low sound in all HD and SD channels.my HT got dumb in sun direct I can't feel whether I am listing DD sound or PCM.
5.very less channels
6.SD channels PQ also pathetic
Pluses:
1. very cheap cost wise comparatively others of course very cheap quality wise also.
2. in remote if we click OK button then we get all channels genre wise,even HD channels also.it is easy to catch all the channels.This option is working because of less channels.
Final verdict:
Sun network is a worst company they never follow ads rules in their channels.They put ads in No break programs also,and still they are running their channels with upscale content.
same as their DTH also sucks and very very cheap product comparing to quality.never buy this product if you want best AQ and PQ.
hardware and sofware wise it is OK. There is not much complaints on this.
over and all it is the worst DTH among all DTH and never buy this product.I won't recharge after my subscription.
