Review Detailed review of Micromax 50B5000FHD (50) LED TV

Thanks to you guys. I got my TV yesterday. I must say it was a long wait from Snapdeal. The seller delayed shipment for 2 days and put it on surface courier through BlueDart. It took a week and when it arrived, I was taken back by the size of the package. It was massive. I spent 2 hours unpacking the stuff. :)
 
Sure. As soon as the damn Tata sky works! Totally pathetic. A week for the new TV and no signal to watch television. Is there a separate thread which is discussing this issue with Tatasky signal interruptions?

Hey guys, I too purchased a Micromax 50B5000FHD from Snapdeal after checking out this thread. The shipping was prompt and packing fantastic. It took me 30 mins to unpack the TV. But as soon as the TV was switched we were totally disappointed. It was a defective piece. The screen had a vertical dark line on it. Most probably the panel is faulty. I contacted Snapdeal and placed a replacement request on the same day, but it has been 15 days, no one has got in touch. Their 7 day replacement policy has also expired. As I wasn't sure who would replace the TV I had also contacted Micromax customer care informing them the defect. They were prompt in saying that they would replace it within 15 days. Yesterday I picked up the service center guy from his house where the replacement TV was couriered to him. :p They dont even have a service center temporarily in Pune :(. Services operated by home. When we reached my place the service guy unpacked the TV, only to my surprise that the TV model was different, it was 50C5500FHD. This model costs less that 50B5000FHD. It doesn't have some ports and is unattractive and cheap in looks. Also the viewing angle is less. I objected on this, saying I had paid more for having 50B5000FHD specifically. On this the service guy said its not their concern and responsibility. Whatever Micromax sends as replacement they will replace it. I said I don't want it and please get my TV repaired under warranty or give a replacement. The service guy denied the same saying that the TV cant be repaired. This is a huge disappointment. Its better to pay 10,000 more and go for Toshiba or Videocon for their service. As for the product, the TV is good except for the sound. I also loved the sleek remote. Red-Cyan 3d movies also play well on the TV!!

How to find if they are authorized or not? Website has no details. These guys called me directly saying they would help in installation so I assume they should be genuine. Also there is no brick and Mortar service station here in Pune. The guy said he operated via home. if you have any details plz share. would be really helpful. thanks.
