Yes, and head office guy was saying cable operators have taken the box for demo only. Looks like no one has bought the PVR box yet in Bangalore.Nice snap gopichand pai bro, I think you are first in your region who grab HD PVR stb.

I dont have idea about Dolby digital plus but DTS is wont come via SPDIF(optical).hathway also not giving means hathway also did not enable Dolby digital plus sound.as far as i know all star network HD channels and Sun network HD channels are giving Dolby digital plus.at least I am sure about Star HD channels.SPDIF doesn't support Dolby Digital Plus. It is a technical limitation. That is why none of the cable/DTH providers or media or streaming boxes have the option of Dolby Digital Plus via SPDIF.
Currently I have selected Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI option and the sound is coming as Dolby Digital only. Looks like none of the channels have Dolby Digital Plus sound as of now. I will check if there are any movies in Start Movies HD will result in Dolby Digital Plus sound.
This is the biggest draw back in hathway.hathway always thinks at higher level only but they are neglecting execution at low level. What is the use of bringing new technologies if they are not available at anywhere.Yes, and head office guy was saying cable operators have taken the box for demo only. yes..Even my area LCO is rejecting to take HD boxes connections.I dont know the reasons.Total agree wit bhaskar bro, on ground execution is next to Zero. In my area people are not even aware that Hathway has HD service, let alone be HD PVR and the LCO just hands over SD STB to all . People readily accept it as for them this is digital cable, like the government says ''Digital Set Top Box Lagaaiye aur Apne Manpasand channel achchi picture aur sound mein paaiye''
It also happens with tata skyThe advertised feature which says record 2 channels while watching the third doesn't work. When I change the channel when 2 different channels are being recorded, it says there is a conflict please stop the recording of one of the scheduled recordings.
