Its simple bro. They downscale it. Like Dish TV used to upscaled SD channels to HD.

then why all the services gave 4:3 first and after that 16:9??there must be reason right??and I think if they downscales no need to follow the ratio right??

Also Nat Geo Music is not a HD channel their contents is in 16:9.

All those who are expert downscale it properly to 16:9. else they show 4:3 because most SD TV show 4:3 in better format.

Yeah but don't know why dishtv providing Nat Geo Music in HD column just because of PQ ? because they themselves not count it as a HD channel.

Nope. Broadcaster never reproduce their original content in various ratio, Its the operator which tweaks.

I think thats the reason, Movies now SD shows vertically stretched in my cable................instead of 16:9..........

As far as i know If DTHs downscaling any HD to SD they dont change the aspect ratio bro.If so also ..need not to follow all the DTH and Digital cable.we can see aspect ratio change but here it was not happened.

Same thing which I realised with &TV that it shorted in HD format and downscaled it a bit as SD same like contents in ZEE Cafe so that it available in 16:9 only.

They do..but only when they have both HD and SD channels for the same content.
