what about the vol buttons on stb?
at times choosing dolby, the stb vol buttons might be disabled.

i am talking about STB only. No issues with TV remote

I too have a lg tv, ill try to replicate the problem you are having with it. I have kept audio at PCM always. So the volume u are not able to adjust is of the tv or the stb from tata sky remote?

STB bro. You will see the volume bars go up and down as we increase or decrease but nothing actually happens and audio level remains the same.

ok,, in adtv you get the warning on choosing DD, the stb vol cant be controlled but only the TV.

Atleast they give the warning. So being the same software for tata sky, i guess it must be some kind of feature, or maybe they have kept it as people choosing dolby would be using av receivers etc and hence will be adjusting volume thru the receiver's remote only

bro, it is the default setup that DD vol can be controlled externally.

even in d2h stb, in selecting DD only using the HT remote control vol works,.

but why Samsung is working flawlessly.

Some expert cites it as incompatibility issue of Dolby codec.
