WWE RAW RESULTS – 6/13/16
RAW opens tonight with a screen that says “We Stand With Orlando” as the company pays tributes to the victims and families following the shooting in Orlando this past weekend. We see a shot of the entire WWE roster on the stage including Vince, Shane and Stephanie McMahon.
Eight Man Tag Team Match
The New Day, Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. The Club and The Vaudevillians
Winners: The Club and The Vaudevillains
Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is on the phone when Shane McMahon walks up. They argue about him not being on RAW last week. Shane offers to run RAW and Stephanie can take Smackdown. Stephanie says no. Shane says he will take Smackdown and she can have RAW. Stephanie wants both. Kane walks in and interrupts. He said choosing the right person to run Smackdown when it goes live on July 19 is important and offers his services. Kane offers up his resume and a letter of recommendation (from The Undertaker). Stephanie tells Shane to handle this. Kane said he has some ideas to make Smackdown red hot.
Ambrose Asylum with special guests Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins
Dean Ambrose is out first, takes off his leather jacket and grabs a mic. “Back by popular demand…ladies and gentleman…welcome to the Ambrose Asylum.” He talks about Money in the Bank feeling like another WrestleMania quality show this Sunday and two matches that feel WrestleMania quality including Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns. “Can John Cena hang with the new era?” Ambrose introduces his first guest, “the scum of the earth”, Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Ambrose then introduces the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns.
He adds, “What if I win the Money in the Bank contract…and whether it is you (Rollins) or whether it is you (Reigns)…I cash in that same night and I walk out WWE World Heavyweight Champion.” Rollins shoves Ambrose into Reigns. Ambrose attacks Rollins. Reigns pushes Ambrose aside. Superman Punch on Rollins. Ambrose with Dirty Deeds on Reigns. Ambrose points up at the briefcase above the ring.
Non-Title Match
WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte w/ Dana Brooke vs. Paige
Winner: Paige
Sheamus vs. Zack Ryder
Winner: Sheamus
Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn
Winner: Sami Zayn
Michael Cole is in the ring. Cole says in addition to Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, we have a match that is worthy of a WrestleMania main event. It is fifteen years in the making. The two men are here live to sign the contract. Out first is John Cena, who comes out to his traditional mixed reception from the crowd. Styles’ music hits, and the New Orleans crowd gives him a nice round of applause as he makes his entrance. Styles gets in the ring, and the crowd begins chanting his name lightly. Styles chuckles and says he sees what Cena is doing here. Styles thinks Cena thinks he can’t beat him. Is it because he’s a fifteen-time World Champion? Maybe it’s because he’s won the Royal Rumble twice? Or is it because he’s the face that runs this place? Styles says if he were here fifteen years ago, Cena wouldn’t have been a fifteen-time World Champion nor won the Royal Rumble twice. Cena wouldn’t be on magazine covers or in crappy movies. If the powers that be wouldn’t have kept him out of WWE for so long, he’d have all those accolades and would be the face that runs this place. Cena tells him to shut up. The Club isn’t full of bullets – it’s full of bull. Cena gave him respect, and he’s come out here complaining like every other indy dude before thinking it should have and could have been them. Styles didn’t do it, but he’s too stupid to realize he has a chance to man up and do it now. Styles can sign the contract and prove him wrong or he can sign the contract for The Club where he’ll bury himself. Styles can get on a bullet train back to Japan because he left his balls over there. Styles angrily grabs a pen and looks at both contracts. Styles then signs the contract for a straight one-on-one match against Cena without The Club at ringside. Cena then signs the contract as well. Styles says Cena will find out real quick that he isn’t every other independent guy with his K-Mart shopping ass. After Money in the Bank, maybe he’ll get the message that his time is up and Styles’ time is now! Styles’ music plays and he walks off.
Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens vs. The Lucha Dragons
Winners by Pinfall: Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are on commentary. Alberto Del Rio is by the ring bell. Cesaro is in the ring to do the guest ring announcing. Chris Jericho is out first, and Cesaro announces him as from “Stupid Idiot-ville.” Jericho will face Dean Ambrose, next.
Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose
Winner by Pinfall: Dean Ambrose
Kevin Owens runs into the ring and attacks Ambrose from behind. Sami Zayn runs in and punches Owens down. Alberto Del Rio comes in and catches Zayn with a Backstabber. Cesaro runs in and takes Del Rio out with a springboard uppercut. Cesaro sends Del Rio into the barricade and punches him. Owens grabs a ladder, and Ambrose dropkicks it into him. Ambrose, Cesaro, Jericho, and Del Rio continue brawling at ringside until Zayn takes them out with a summersault senton off the top rope to the floor! Jericho surveys the carnage before putting the ladder in the ring. Jericho sets it up in the center of the ring and smirks as he climbs it and grabs the Money in the Bank briefcase. Jericho sits on top of the ladder and crosses his legs as he holds it up.
