i tried in Ubuntu but it showed some random files before it prompted for formatting.

Recording two channels & watching 3rd one is like this,
Watching 3rd channel are recorded content not a live Runing channel,
So for a point it's true,
Record two channels & watch a earlier recorded shows,
So technically it's three,

3 Tuners means 3 Tuner. In that case TS, dish, SD and d2h also having 2 Tuners.

Only DVR has 3 tuners so SD and dish have single tuner input but three tuners on hathway is confusing.

As said by Gssran bro , hathwway misleading to people

3 Tuners means 3 Tuner. In that case TS, dish, SD and d2h also having 2 Tuners.
