Anirudha bro, it is not an essential one but some restriction. In other Dths, i record one channel from a TP while another fav program is on another tp but i would be forced to watch the channels on recording TP. Something is better than nothing.

For HD DVR, none of the DTH operators are charging recording Fee.

But for USB recording, D2h & ADTV are charging monthly recording Fee

It is all related to DVR features and it's restriction comparing with so called boasting ad " two channels record while you can see third one " by Hathway.
