Finally got the Hathway HD PVR box. I went for 6 months subscription - Hathway HD PVR box plus 6 months of Vajra package(Rs349/month) and 6 months of HD(Rs150/month) free. I paid Rs10,000

The box looks like this

Contents of the boxes are, HD PVR box, 2 AAA batteries, Remote, HDMI cable, Power Adapter and Manual.

Dolby Digital Plus Option

EPG-You can see record option, dolby digital indicator among others.

Pressing the info button on the remote brings this screen

There is a menu where you can see recorded and scheduled recordings

Recording is in progress. You can see the seek bar which shows how much is recorded so far. You can also cancel the recording using the record button.

Recorded videos can be seen here

You can cancel the recording of a channel which is happening in the background even when you are on other channel

Different menu items available

EPG looks like this. You can record from EPG menu as well.

Different options on how hard disk is managed and how soon the recording should start and end

Search feature works well. You can search and schedule the recording

310 GB is allocated for the recordings. You can format the harddisk as well

I went to the head office and bought it. I had been telling my LCO to buy one for me but he never did. So I told him that I will buy it today and bought it. Head office people were not willing to sell the box to me but I made them talk to my LCO and bought it.

Congrats Gopichand Pai bro.By he way all services(Including TS and ADTV) are giving Dolby digital plus option via HDMI cable only but not via SPDIF port.I dont know the reason and Both TS and ADTV Dolby digital plus via HDMI is not working.can you confirm Gopichand Pai bro whether hathway is enabled his option via HDMI or not?

SPDIF doesn't support Dolby Digital Plus. It is a technical limitation. That is why none of the cable/DTH providers or media or streaming boxes have the option of Dolby Digital Plus via SPDIF.

Currently I have selected Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI option and the sound is coming as Dolby Digital only. Looks like none of the channels have Dolby Digital Plus sound as of now. I will check if there are any movies in Start Movies HD will result in Dolby Digital Plus sound.
