Now line is dead from.5 .17 pm, called tata customer care, made me go through setting up my net connection all over again, also changed my password. They said it will work within 30 mins. Nothing happened,. So called cc again, now they tell me technician will be here tom morning.
While, in my router Log i see "time out waiting for PADO packet" and as far as i understand this means that tata server is not responding back to my modem

What is PPP and PPPoE?

If they are going to provide modem, atleast for testing, free of charge then just try with it.....

Beggars cant be choosers, here we have failtel , stopped that due to FUP. Then Bsnl 2 mbps upto 8gb . thereafter 1mbps @ 1445/- pm. So tata was giving 2mbps @ 1499/- totally unlimited.

BSNL seems to be very costly than MTNL....

Sir they have given one ECI modem earlier, faced same issues. Using dlink 2730u brand new modem router combo, given to me free of cost when i bought this broadband , same issues.
So def the problem lies at their end.

This seems to have become quite serious issue now.....So I think time to contact senior officials for resolution....

It was level 1 officer mr.Uday who is in.touch with me. And one mr.Sarabjeet Sandhu,.level 4 officer who has wrote to me today morning that "i am looking into it"
Higher than this, mr.cyrus mistry? Or
Mr. Subodh Bhargava, Chairman tata telecommunications.
